Mark was named the 2017 Recipient of the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) Award.

Mark was interviewed for an article at zoocasa.com about the growing phenomeneon of baby boomer clients helping their children gain a foothold on the property ladder.

Mark returned as guest speaker for the North York District Chartered Professional Accountants Association (NYDCPAA) at the Donalda Club in Toronto. He presented ‘The Strategic Use of Life Insurance to Reduce Taxes, Preserve Wealth and Enhance Philanthropy' and explained strategies using tax-exempt life insurance to preserve and grow wealth and enhance charitable planned giving.

Mark returned for a third year as guest lecturer at The Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto. He explained the unique insurance and estate planning needs of wealthy Canadians, how they use life insurance as an investment, and why it is used for tax-free wealth transfer to future generations.

Mark was interviewed by The Globe and Mail for an article that examined the concerns of wealthy people planning to leave an inheritance to their children.

Mark received the highest level of recognition from Manulife Financial in recognition of his professional achievements over the last 26 years.  Only 331 advisors have received the  Five Star Master Builder award since the program began in 1961.

Mark was a guest speaker at Great West Life's advisor-only event 'Advanced Practices, Advanced Programs'  in Montreal, PQ..  He presented The Critical Path™, shared planning strategies, and discussed the importance of continuing education for insurance advisors to improve practice management.

Life Health Professional interviewed Mark for an article about the new tax exemption rules set to come into effect on January 1.

Mark returned as guest speaker at the Northwind 2016 Annual Life Insurance Invitational Forum in Cambridge, ON. The event is an exclusive annual gathering of Canada's top insurance industry executives and thought leaders. Mark discussed ‘the protection gap’ and the challenges facing the insurance industry to address the unmet needs of Canadians.

Mark presented a case study on a recent client donation to the Jewish Foundation of Toronto at the semi-annual Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) breakfast meeting in Toronto. He explained how he helped a 72 year old client convert a $1 million tax liability into a charitable donation.
Mark is a member of the PAC which is comprised of a small group of lawyers, accountants, trust officers, investment advisors, financial planners, insurance and other estate planning professionals. PAC members donate their time and unique skills to provide support and professional advice to the Foundation.

Investment Executive, Canada’s national newspaper for financial advisors, sought Mark’s comments on the upcoming tax rule changes and how they affect some permanent life insurance policies.

CPA Magazine, the official publication of Chartered Professional Accountants in Canada, interviewed Mark for an article about the unique characteristics and financial needs of affluent Canadians.

Life Health Professional, an online information resource for all Canadian advice and planning professionals, sought Mark’s opinion of the recent decision by Sun Life to sharply increase the cost of Long Term Care Insurance.

Mark was recently interviewed by Life Health Professional for an article that explains the growing popularity of Life Insurance among wealthy Canadians to reduce taxes.
