With rare exceptions, every charity and foundation operates under pressure to raise funds using limited resources to keep the lights on. Perhaps there’s a capital campaign every few years for a special project or to “catch up”. The area of planned legacy giving doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
I explained how we work with charities and foundations and shared many of my experiences garnered in the past 33 years of professional practice that can benefit your organization.
We have helped raise almost $200 million for charitable organizations, usually by educating their supporters on strategies to convert taxes to generous gifts and by sharing best practices with allied professionals in the fields of life insurance, accounting, law and financial services so that they too can incorporate philanthropy into clients’ estate planning.
Our Feb 23rd episode: “Generative AI and the Future of Work” with special guest Jonathan Leibtag, Senior Counsel of Microsoft’s Strategic Pursuits Team.
Jonathan is deeply engaged with engineering teams and business leaders across the company tasked with driving its AI ambitions.
We discussed ALL things Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how professional advisors, charities, fundraisers and philanthropists can be utilizing AI to maximize their efforts, do more good, optimize client and donor attraction and retention, and embrace AI for their business.
Jonathan leads a global legal team dedicated to supporting Microsoft’s most strategic, complex and novel transactions across its commercial business. In addition to transactional work, Jonathan is deeply engaged with engineering teams and business leaders across the company tasked with driving its AI ambitions. Prior to joining Microsoft, Jonathan was an M&A lawyer at a prominent downtown Toronto firm. Jonathan holds a Law Degree from the University of Western Ontario and a BCom from McGill University. Jonathan currently teaches an MBA course in organization studies at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.
