January 24, 2019
All of us at WEALTHinsurance.com wish you and your family a happy, healthy, prosperous and charitable New Year! Hope you are well and enjoyed a wonderful winter break with family and friends.
We are delighted to share this 5th edition of our CharityMATTERS™ newsletter.
The past several months kept us very busy, helping generous people share their good fortune, and supporting the causes they care about in more meaningful ways.
Strategic Philanthropy is a wonderful way for people to be very charitable with the blessing of the tax department. Converting tax dollars into significant gifts for the causes our clients are passionate about is the most gratifying part of our practice.
You don’t have to be rich to teach the importance of charitable values to children and grandchildren by example.
On the other side of the giving ledger, we help a growing number of charities in Canada and the U.S. raise much-needed funds, including help with the design, development and implementation of their charitable giving programs.
Philanthropy continues to be the fastest growing segment of our insurance and estate planning practice, now entering our 28th year. |

Our CPP Philanthropy™ strategy, now embraced by many charitable organizations, continues to gain traction among generous people who are collecting CPP benefits from the government, and don’t need the money to pay their bills.
It’s extremely gratifying to help worthy causes raise considerable sums using money that would otherwise be going to the tax department.
SocialSecurityPhilanthropy™, the U.S. counterpart to CPP Philanthropy™, was recently established to facilitate charitable giving south of the border. |

Many of us may see a need in our community, but very few do something about it. Donna Green, Founder & President of Stella's Place, saw a need and did something exceptional. Donna and her amazing staff are making a BIG difference, helping young adults (16 to 29) who are experiencing mental health challenges.
Watch Donna discuss her family struggle that laid the foundations of Stella's Place here: http://bit.ly/2sbmkeI. So inspiring.
The Stella’s Place ‘menu’ includes professional and peer support, clinical, employment, wellness, yoga, art therapy and recovery services. Their holistic approach helps young adults learn skills, find connection and become empowered to manage their own health including online peer support resources. They currently help more than 500 young adults and their families annually, with very little to no cost to participate.
We are looking forward to helping the Stella’s Place team develop and execute a comprehensive planned giving program to provide much needed financial resources to finance expanded programs and accommodate growth. Many thanks to Bob Walker of Longview Services for making the introduction. |
