Thinking of the Perfect Holiday Gift??

It’s that time of year when our gratitude attitude goes on full display to recognize family, staff, colleagues and suppliers.

The challenge is always:

1. Remembering to do it
2. Finding time to do it
3. Finding the perfect thing to give

Then I got a lovely email reminder about gratitude from Lori Palatnik, who is also the founder of MOMENTUM, a life changing program that brings 1000’s of Jewish Mom’s to Israel annually to learn about themselves and their heritage (sure beats Las Vegas).

When we met 30 years ago, Lori was the Rebbetzin (Rabbi's wife) with her husband Rabbi Yakov Palatnik at the Village Shul synagogue in Toronto .

She sent me an email with congratulatory wishes on our 26th wedding anniversary last month, and this nice picture.

You see, before online dating was a thing, I met my amazing wife Rhonda Halpern in the old fashioned "traditional" way.

Lori Palatnik was our “matchmaker” (aka "shadchan" in Yiddish) and her skillful services produced a lovely family with 5 great kids for which we are eternally grateful.

And every year, we send Lori flowers on OUR wedding anniversary, no matter where she is in the world, to thank her for her kindness. And she sends a picture and note of thanks to confirm it was received.

Feeling grateful feels good. And it doesn’t have to cost an
arm and a leg.
