Lisa Glennie was a vibrant radio advertising sales rep at a Toronto station.
We met several years ago when I became her client.
I still remember my first impressions of Lisa - very nice, really fit and obviously an athlete.
She was a marathon runner with a great husband and a young son. She soon became my client.
Fast forward to last November when Lisa, just 50 years old, suffered a debilitating stroke while taking a spinning class.
Lisa’s difficult recovery is documented here and here.
The Toronto Star published this aptly titled article “Ontario stroke patients set adrift by province” about Lisa and the plight of other stroke victims who don’t get the costly therapy they truly need from our overburdened and underfunded healthcare system.
Toronto’s broadcast community recently held this event to raise money for the family.
A registered charity was established to help Lisa and her family.
