Happy Thanksgiving!

Was grateful to have lunch yesterday with John Bucks chfc Clu, visiting from Hong Kong. John was my branch manager 30 years ago (Nov 1, 1991) when I started in the insurance business at North American. victor logan recruited me and I was introduced to him by Ed Hertzman.

Back in those days, advisors received abundant comprehensive training and lots and lots of hand holding. Those golden olden days are a wonderful distant memory for many of us.

John moved to HK 20 years ago, remained in the agency business, and we kept in touch.

Was so nice to see him again after 20 years and hear him tell me how proud he was of me. It made me blush and felt great ????

John, I’ve still got lot's more learning ahead and lots more to accomplish. And with G-d’s help, I'm so grateful to be "passing it forward" by mentoring dozens of advisors today with Jim Ruta and our Platinum Mentoring/Coaching Group with our third cohort starting Jan 2022.

On this Thanksgiving weekend, I want to express my thanks for the TLC and training I received from John and Victor while a rookie advisor so long ago, and be thankful for all of the great mentors I've had in my life, especially Dr. Paul Goldstein, who is still such a dear friend and mentor today.
